Call for Proposals

Terms of Support

  • Because the Envolve Center is an academic-industry partnership, selected applicants must abide by the contractual agreement/terms of the Washington University/Envolve PeopleCare™ contract.
    • At the time of the award, investigators will be asked to review the terms and sign a form acknowledging acceptance of these terms.
    • Investigators must agree to a background check to be granted access to the secure Centene network.
    • Researchers will need to access data via VPN to a secure Centene network, most likely through a specific workstation associated with the Envolve Center for Health Behavior Change. Only aggregated, de-identified data can be saved to the researcher’s own computer.
    • For more specific information about the terms of the contract or data access, contact Yancey Crawford, MPH, Center Manager, at or 314-935-3187.

  • All awardees must obtain appropriate institutional regulatory IRB and HIPPA compliance training before access to data will be provided.

  • Awardees will be required to develop a manuscript for publication and present findings to Envolve Center leadership and a steering committee of Centene Corporation and Envolve PeopleCare™ executives at an Envolve Center event.

  • All publications should acknowledge the Envolve Center for Health Behavior Change and Washington University-Centene Corporation collaboration.
